Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and professional Inventory/Demand Planner based out of their Truganina office on a temp to perm basis.
Working in a high performance team, the successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a combination of technical skillset, attention to detail, strong customer focus and commercial outlook. You will also be motivated, and driven to succeed in a challenging change management environment. You will be able to work as part of a team and manage your own KPIs to ensure consistent results.
Key accountabilities
- Manage demand, inventory and purchase planning
- Provide demand plan summaries and detail KPI reports
- Review and recommend inventory policy and purchasing plans.
- Review product classifications and recommend changes
- Work with Vendor Managers to review supplier purchase targets and establishes agreed sales targets to balance demand and inventory per agreed inventory policy.
- Monitor inventory risk and work with purchasing staff to reschedule purchase orders according to the changing needs of the business.
You will have
- 3 + years' experience in a similar planning role
- Strong analytical and decision making skills.
- Advanced Excel and MS Office skills - ERP experience is a must
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process.
- Excellent numeracy skills, and ability to analyse data
- Track record of success in achieving and maintaining inventory levels within budgeted levels
- Demonstrated facilitation skills and proven track record in delivering targeted business outcomes
- A positive can-do attitude that is a team player
