Logical Freight Solutions is a global organisation and is, therefore, able to offer a specialised door to door service to the biomedical industry.
We currently have a permanent full-time position as a TRANSPORT ALLOCATOR available within our Melbourne Transport Department reporting to the Transport Manager - VIC.
Your responsibilities shall include:
- Co-ordinate, scan and allocate driver runs on a daily basis for the delivery of mixed freight
- Co-ordinate and monitor data management system to ensure most efficient use of drivers and vehicles to meet set schedules
- Hands on approach to ensuring the operations, client requirements and time schedules are met which may include picking and packing of orders and driver runs
- Accurate completion of data entry and driver scheduling through our internal transport management system (OBS)
- Completing daily statistical reporting
- Ensuring drivers are aware of, and comply with, specific client site and product requirements
- Organise and prioritise transport team with the aim of improving operational efficiency

- Proven experience in freight transport planning and management, driver/fleet allocating and dispatch experience
- Dangerous goods certification and experience highly desirable
- Needs to have a hands on approach
- Intermediate Outlook & MS Excel skills
- Exceptional team management skills
- Solid and accurate data entry skills
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated financial saving experience
