Based in the Corporate Services Head Office in Sydney CBD, an exciting new opportunity has been created for an experienced Procurement Category Manager / Supply Chain Manager to join the growing procurement team and manage multiple categories of spend.
Reporting to the National Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for appropriate selection, engagement and ongoing management of preferred suppliers and the implementation of efficient and effective internal systems and processes to control, coordinate and manage the storage and distribution of goods and services to I-MED’s clinics,, in order to deliver excellence in diagnostic imaging and healthcare services and achieve business goals and targets.
Key accountabilities include:
- Contribute to the planning, implementation and review of the I-MED procurement strategy
- Lead and/or contribute to the sourcing and selection of preferred suppliers for allocated categories
- Ensure efficient and effective implementation and management of I-MED’s preferred supplier arrangements in allocated categories working in close consultation with suppliers, the procurement team and I-MED management
- Implement and manage processes to control, coordinate and manage the storage and distribution of goods and services to I-MEDs clinics
- Lead and manage supplier performance for managed categories including review and analysis of I-MED data, adherence to supplier contracts, I-MED compliance with systems and processes and overall procurement performance
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with staff, doctors, managers and other internal and external stakeholders, to support excellence in service delivery and achieve overall business objectives

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Business, Finance or a related discipline
- 5 + years’ experience working in a procurement or related commercial role (Healthcare desirable)
- Solid understanding of end to end category management processes and activities
- Strong numerical capabilities / analytics
- Demonstrated strength and success in stakeholder engagement (internal and external)
- Highly effective communication and problem solving skills
- Advanced skills in use of IT systems, including Excel
