Specialising in the manufacture and supply of milled products and by-product processing, predominantly sourced from locally grown cereals, our client is a premium supplier in the agriculture industry with facilities nationally. An opportunity now exists for an experienced and self-motivated business and people manager who will act as an Assistant General Manager for their entire operations in WA.
Reporting to the General Manager who is on site weekly, you will play a crucial role in the management and performance of the mill, managing over 50 staff with key responsibilities including:
- Production management and scheduling
- Continual improvement of plant efficiencies
- Co-ordination of incoming raw materials Assistance with the co-ordination of feed delivery trucks
- Oversee equipment maintenance program
- Ensure WHS, Quality and Human Resource compliance
- Daily and weekly reporting, maintaining accurate records
- Management of production, logistics and maintenance staff
- Liaison with Sales staff.
To be successful in this role it is essential you have a minimum of 3 years ‘experience in a management role in a production environment. Ideally the successful candidate will possess a mechanical background or similar with an understanding of production machinery and automated manufacturing equipment. Your ability to multi-task and make sound decisions, at times with minimal notice, will be highly regarded. Experience in either a flour, feed or food processing environment would be advantageous.
