ZIMMERMANN also upholds a well-established wholesale business internationally with an enviable list of major stockists including Net-a-Porter, Barneys, Saks Fifth Avenue, Selfridges, Harrods, Le Bon Marche, to name some.
Based in Rosebery, we are currently seeking an organised Accessories Production Coordinator to join our Production Team working closely with the wider Accessories team within Design. You will be responsible for the on-time delivery of high quality accessories collections according to the businesses critical path.
The successful candidate's key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing new and existing supplier base for all accessories components/categories as well as negotiating, counter sourcing/sampling for the best value;
- Finalising AP21 style setup including additional information on BOM/Cost Sheets as confirmed;
- Setting and Managing the production schedule for each Accessories collection according to the season's Critical Path requirements;
- General administration, planning and maintenance of schedules for the pre-production and production of five collections annually, including raising and closing production orders, creating production packs & packing lists/instructions and liaising with relevant departments;
- Managing packing requirements;
- Working closely with the Shipping Coordinator to generate shipping costing numbers in preparation of bulk deliveries and advising freight plans with relevant teams and suppliers;
- Assisting stock coordinators with any queries relating to bulk delivery.
- QC of bulk delivery and administration into warehouse, advising relevant department of deliveries to receipt;
- Media gift production & delivery for Runway shows and other seasonal events;
- Managing faulty and repair issues for all returns; and
- General production tasks and administration.
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this exciting position you must have at least 3 years' experience in a similar business/role and have ideally completed a tertiary fashion course. You will be will be exceptionally organized and possess a passion and broad knowledge for accessories including leather goods.
Specific requirements:
- Exposure & experience working with accessories and different materials/constructions, including leather;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers;
- Ability to work to tight deadlines;
- Excellent planning, follow through and negotiating skills;
- Strong attention to detail across all areas from design and production;
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office including Excel; and
- Experience with Adobe and a production system such as AP21 (preferred).
