Our Client

European owned and with a global network of offices this freight forwarder provides a broad range of services including customs, warehousing and distribution services.

The Position

As an integral member of the team you will be accountable for:

• Developing, managing and supporting a team of export professionals
• Responding to customer requests regarding shipment status reports
• Negotiating rate and service agreements with clients and carriers and ensuring departmental profitability
• Calculating and preparing invoices and job costing reports 
• Overseeing the daily activities of the team to ensure customer satisfaction
• Instigating and attending existing client visits to assess further business opportunities

The Requirements  

• Proven success in a senior export role with an international freight forwarder
• Strong knowledge of the Melbourne freight market
• Corporate presentation and communication skills 
• Comprehensive Cargowise experience
