Dwyer Engineering (DYR) is one of the largest steel fabricators and maintenance providers in the Southwest (Harvey, WA) and a major provider of services throughout Western Australia. 

DYR pride ourselves on providing a safe and quality service to our clients, which includes shop detailing, fabrication, surface treatment, site installations and ongoing maintenance support.

We use FICEP CNC Machines. An A164 Angle Line machine. A oxy-torch beamline.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Operate and programme both CNC machines, processing small, medium and large sizes beams, angle and channels.
• Perform Regular maintenance on both machines to a high standard and ensure the machines are constantly in good working order.
• Assist with other tasks involved with the processing of steel in the workshop when not operating machines.
• Operate and programme Plasma cutter
• Ensure and be accountable for the accuracy and efficiency of the machines.
• Comply with the company's workflow and provide feedback and recommendations where the system may need modification for continuous improvement.

  Required Competencies / Skills:

• Strong organisational skills.
• Have experience in operate FICEP CNC Machines.
• Strong knowledge of computers
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Ability to follow procedures
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Attention to detail
• Show pride in your work
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent punctuality

  Qualifications:

• Forklift Ticket.
• Relevant experience in FICEP CNC Machines
• Operate Plasma cutter
• Previous industry experience
