The Role
We are looking for an experienced Customs Broker to join our Melbourne Airport team. This role is responsible for processing Customs clearance of imported goods and providing freight, brokerage, and consultancy to best suit clients needs.
Competencies and skills required:
- Current Customs Broker Licence- 5 year minimum experience required.
- Current AQIS Quarantine Brokers accreditation.
- Competence in use of EFT facilities, TAPIN and CARGO AUTOMATION.
- Familiarity with airfreight and sea freight clearance/delivery procedures.
- Broad knowledge of Customs clearance and Import/Export Branch functions.
- Knowledge of relevant legislations and authorities which impact on your area of responsibility
- Familiarity Millman (Expedient) an advantage, but not essential.
THE CANDIDATE
The successful applicant will have:
- Extensive experience working with Customs Tariff
- Knowledge of Air Freight and Ocean Freight customs clearance processes
- Strong Expedient and Excel knowledge
- High attention to detail
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
