About the role
As an experienced Shift Production Manager you will lead, coach, engage, develop our people and build an achieving culture with constructive behaviours. You will also lead all production activities to ensure production occurs efficiently while on the assigned shift.
You will also be required to:
- Lead and develop our production teams understanding and continuous improvement of HACCP and GMP compliance;
- Optimise and manage all operations resources on shift to drive operational excellence;
- Ability to develop and implement strategies to ensure continued growth and continuous improvement;
- Control and reduce wastage;
- Champion and take charge of food safety, hygiene and quality compliance with legislated and Company requirements for the production team.
What we are looking for
- Minimum 5 years' experience working within a frontline leadership/management level within the Food/Beverage manufacturing industry;
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in manufacturing, frontline management, engineering or other related field is essential;
- Motivated self-starter capable of delivering results with minimal supervision and technically proficient to ensure that operational targets are met;
- Professional communication and the ability to lead a team;
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, MFG Pro (QAD) will be highly regarded;
- Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Foods Safety standards are essential;
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a range of tasks and responsibilities;
- Demonstrated track record of performance in similar role in a fast paced environment;
- Demonstrated experience working with Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement principles.
