As leaders in the plastics packaging industry, our client is currently seeking their next Workplace, Health, Safety and Environmental Leader. What this rare and exciting opportunity has on offer for you:

This exciting role will have you lead this fast-paced manufacturing site as the Workplace, Health, Safety and Environment Leader, where you will improve safety across two sites, work alongside a dedicated team and have a positive cultural impact across the sites.

For this role your responsibilities and duties will include:
  • Improve safety through the sites
  • Ensure near misses are raised and closed
  • Maintain a decrease in LTI and first aid.
  • Compliance to risk assessment.
  • Ensure all permits are all in place.
  • Ensure all inductions all conducted correctly and effectively.
  • Keep all certification to Australian standard.
  • Build a positive relationship with employees.
  • Gain support from stakeholders on site and in the boardroom.
  • Impact culture change
  • Implement the National System
To be successful in the role, you will need to have the following:
  • Experience in a manufacturing and FMCG environment (essential)
  • Experience bringing about culture change
  • Hands-on approach in Management
  • Strong safety background
  • Good understanding of the technical aspects of the safety role (WorkCover, audits, risk assessments, Cert and accreditations etc.)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of CI
  • Able to build good working relationships with the team from the shop floor to senior management.
  • Commercially focused
  • Behavioural based safety experience
  • Team player
  • Strong problem-solving skills
