The role:-

You will be responsible for Commercial analysis, which include solution design, price modelling, forensic analysis and reporting, to meet the needs of the Business and our Customers.  You will also be responsible for rate maintenance and form part of the project team which is responsible for scoping (phase 1) and implementing (phase 2) a new Billing platform.

Key responsibilities:-

Commercial

• Extract data from the Data Warehouse and manipulate the data in excel to provide reports and detailed analysis
• Provide support on bid opportunities and more complex pricing requests, working closely with wider Commercial teams as required
• Identify and solve data integrity problem areas in Data Warehouse
• Create Pricing Model
• Support and Analyse, both financial and profiling for the Business
• Assist with the preparation of commercial elements for external propositions ensuring competitive rates are quoted to customers, reflecting the full value of the services that AFS provides
• Support the profitable growth of the business in line with Sales/Account Management targets by providing high quality commercial analysis
• Provide standard and ad-hoc reports for Internal & External Customers

Efficiency & Margin Improvement

• Manage Cost Recovery Process (back-up function)
• Margin Improvement
• Forensically analyse AFS revenue & margin and identify areas of improvement
• Actively seek out process improvement and efficiency opportunities for Internal & External Customers

Revenue & Invoicing

• Rates maintenance & upload
  • Uploading of rates onto Billing System
  • Preparing Customer Quotation & MoveIT template
  • Ensure the governance and integrity of rates
  • Report on rate variances and rectifying systemic issues
  • Billing System Phase 1
  • Assist in scoping of a new Billing platform
  • Billing System Phase 2
  • Assist in the implementation of a new Billing platform

General

• Ensure activities carried out in line with governance rules & processes
• Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Other tasks as requested by your manager

To be successful for this exciting opportunity you must demonstrate:-

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years industry experience in an Analytical role is essential  
• Freight experience strongly preferred
• Building and developing processes and templates
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation, including Executive level
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
• Proven ability to identify and introduce process improvements
• Highly developed communications skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent time management
• Ability to deal with ambiguity
• Confident to manage up as required
• Advanced MS Office skills  
• Experience mentoring/leading a team preferable
• Professional conduct and presentation

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in a mathematical/data discipline preferred
