Description

Reporting the ANZ Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the National Logistics network comprising of 6 Warehouses, a 3PL and a network of third party freight providers handling both inbound and outbound freight. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing all facets of warehouse function and performance across the six state based warehouses & 3PL
  • Assessing, identifying and implementing continuous improvement of operations to deliver improved efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Change management and cultural leadership initiatives through best practice safety standards for warehouse and transport operations, and warehouse staff competency development
  • Optimisation of logistics network for inbound and outbound freight through data investigation and analysis
  • Ensure ERP systems are harmoniously integrated with warehousing and freight systems for optimal performance
  • Performance manage and develop the appropriate resources to achieve excellence

Profile

You will have prior experience in managing a complex logistics operation within the FMCG industry, using values based leadership to inspire others. In addition to this the following skills and experience are necessary for consideration:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business/warehousing and logistics
  • Familiarity with warehouse and freight management systems (SAP preferred)
  • Clearly demonstrated prior experience in monitoring and managing a network of warehouses and freight providers in terms of cost and KPI’s
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to solve operational challenges and align with key cross-functional stakeholders
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in an FMCG brand and/or multi-category business
  • A global outlook, and desire to work with international teams
  • Strong analytical ability, combined with a passion for continuous improvement
