About the role
Exciting opportunity for a full time Digital Procurement Manager to join our head office team on the Gold Coast. Ideally, you will have a proven work history in procurement and purchasing teams, either in a senior position within a large company or a managerial role in a smaller company. Essentially, you will manage and drive the purchasing portal to provide a single place for staff to find all the purchasing needs and you will manage the overall success of the portal. This role will involve initiating graphic design concepts and producing all digital media and new pages on the portal. You will pro-actively manage a range of procurement tasks and manage key suppliers whilst forming strategic supplier relationships. As you maximise bottom line cost reduction, you will also be responsible for generating and managing the annual operating budgets.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse and report on online purchasing activity
- Analyse inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste and optimise customer service
- Assist in managing locations and ERP inventory to portray accuracy
- Identify and implement risk management strategies for the supply base
- Ensure that good commercial practice is exercised for all purchasing expenditure
- Develop and agree on key performance indicators with suppliers and monitor performance to contracted requirements
- Assist with end to end stock receiving process and management
Skills and experience
- Experience in sourcing and vendor selection, providing quality and volume from suppliers
- Tertiary qualified and at least 6 years relevant experience in a similar function, ideally in a healthcare/medical field
- Solid negotiation skills and ability to read, develop and interpret contracts and terms
- Systems experience, history of identifying and implementing systems and processes to improve procurement and purchasing functions
- Experience in managing a B2C and B2B portal
- Strategic thinking and good ability to forward plan and achieve positive outcomes
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral
- Proven history of problem solving, overcoming problems and issues with short and long term equations
