Partnering with Downer, Australia's leading rolling stock solutions provider, we intend on establishing our first Australian centre for excellence here in Melbourne.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced bilingual QA engineer to join our team. You will work with a highly skilled and experienced team of professionals on a large scale of rolling stock project.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Responsible for liaising with China quality team
- Ability to translate quality documentations as per request
- Responsible for preparing, running and updating the quality management documentation of train assembly
- Responsible for preparing quality control plan related to train assembly
- Responsible for quality management planning of train assembly
- Responsible for identifying quality control points of train assembly and preparing process inspection documents
- Responsible for preparing the plan of inspection tools, fixtures, equipment and workplace about train assembly
- Responsible for quality process audit of train assembly
- Responsible for quality supervision and evaluation of train assembly
- Responsible for nonconformity raising, evaluating, judgment and validation
- Responsible for investigation and analysis of important quality problems
- Responsible for analysis and improvement of nonconformity
- Responsible for preparing quality index, supervising index and proposing evaluation suggestion
- Responsible for company's internal and external audit
Skills and experience
- Able to translate quality documentation from Chinese to English
- Ability to write technical documentations
- Be familiar with Australia quality management requirements
- Full-time mechanical engineering or electrical engineering Bachelor or higher degree
- At least 2 years assembly quality management experience
- Skilled using quality statistic, analysis and improvement technology
- Skilled using sampling inspection theory and methods
- Be familiar with mechanical drawing, electrical principle drawing and welding drawing
- Be familiar with ISO9001 or IRIS
- Be familiar with ISO14000 and OHSAS18000
- Having knowledge of quality cost concept and structure
- Having knowledge of FMEA and RAMS.
- Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer highly desirable
- Excellent knowledge in Excel or Minitab
