We are currently seeking an experienced and committed Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic for our Brandon Depot in the Burdekin region.
This position entails being responsible for:
- Carrying out routine services and maintenance repairs (necessary and preventative maintenance) on fleet
- Maintain accurate records of work completed
- Be able to communicate with drivers and management and to be able to prioritise work in a busy environment.
- General workshop duties
- Comply with the companies Workplace Health and Safety requirements at all times
To be successful in the role you will need to be a highly competent heavy vehicle diesel mechanic and must meet the following experiences, knowledge and skills.
- Trade qualified heavy vehicle diesel mechanic with previous experience in a similar role
- Experience in the maintenance & repair of trucks and trailers
- Have an ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Have a positive attitude with a motivation to succeed
- Strong safety focus and commitment
- Forklift ticket desirable
- HC or MC licence desirable
