Your new company
You will be working for a leading Australian food manufacturer located in Western Sydney who requires a Production Manager. With year on year growth this leading food manufacturer has been supplying quality food to major retailers and suppliers across Australia and New Zealand. Your new role
Reporting into the General Manager you will be responsible for the entire production process. You will successfully lead the lines' teams and be accountable for the safe, clean and efficient operation of the manufacturing line in a continuously improving environment, along with product quality standards. The role will be extremely hands on; you will be responsible for production planning and scheduling to boost maximum output, increase efficiency and reduce downtime. Stock and people management (including rostering) will be at the forefront of your thinking and daily plan to achieve optimal results.
Other key responsibilities will include some operating of the machinery, quality control and final packaging of the product. As the company grows and the production output increases, you will be required to build, mentor and direct a production team of up to 20+ to cope with the increased demand for the product.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified (Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline) and have strong manufacturing and production line leadership experience within the food industry. You will be a Continuous Improvement expert and have good working knowledge of the HACCP and GMP principles. Additionally you will be an excellent communicator and highly PC literate.
What you'll get in return
This is a permanent role, paying a highly competitive salary in comparison to the market rate. You will be working Monday - Friday, approximately 38hrs a week. This is a long term opportunity within a growing and exciting food business.
