Production Manager role, $100k-$120k + super, Western Sydney, Mon - Fri.
Your new company
You will be working for a decor company that has been established over the last 40 years. The role of Production Manager is required on a permanent basis.
Your new role
You will assume responsibility of planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes. You will ensure goods and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality. You will have Production/ Warehouse Team and Procurement Manager as direct reports.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the employment and training of production staff and the department policies and systems. Supervision and management of all production and warehouse functions including:
- Manage day-to-day activities of manufacturing process to assure that safety and best practices are maximised.
- Monitor and escalate OHS requirements
- Ensure that the production is cost effective and efficient within quality standards
- Meet daily KPI and sustain DIFCOT
- Update the status of Sales orders on the CRM as job progresses in the manufacturing process
- Plan and follow through production schedule until the completion of the job
- Monitor and manage the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed
- Liaise with customers on the status of the job in a professional manner, making sure promises are kept and adhered to
- Evaluate employee performance
- Meet direct reports on their progress on a monthly basis
- Ensure the machinery, equipment, tools and factory assets are maintained as per TPM systems
- Actively support in analyzing and implementing process flow improvements
- Sustain 5S system
- Assist in Forecasting machine capacity based on sales forecast
- Negotiating with suppliers for pricing and service. Including meeting with reps.
- Liaise with Client Care Manager department to ensure payments are made before dispatching jobs
- Daily toolbox meetings so Production team is aware of targets, deadlines, order requirements
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong background in a similar industry. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Excel, Work and Outlook are essential. You will have demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff as well as major projects or initiatives. You will have budget development and oversight experience.
The use of DecorSorb, Edger, Moulder, Biesse, Tekeel, Multicam equipment is desirable. You will have the ability to delegate responsibilities effectively. You will have excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills and able to work within a team environment.
What you'll get in return
This is a permanent role, paying a highly competitive salary in comparison to the market rate. You will be working Monday - Friday, approximately 38hrs a week.
