Transport Operations Fleet Allocator

We have excellent opportunities for innovative and results orientated Transport Operations Fleet Allocator to join our progressive company currently experiencing strong growth on the PM shift.

Reporting to the Fleet & Facility Manager, you will work with the allocations team to ensure key deliverables are met though the safe and effective coordination of unloading incoming and loading outgoing vehicles. As a general freight carrying company, the key challenges of this role are measured around safety, ensuring vehicles are loaded within schedule departure times, and managing resources – your team.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of government regulations regarding Workplace Health and Safety, vehicle loading, safe driving hours/fatigue management and load restraints. Knowledge of Dangerous Goods segregation would assist in your application.

The candidates must also have:

-       Chain of Responsibility training

-       A strong sense of organisation and self-management

-       Strong computer literacy skills

-       A minimum of 2 years transport/logistics experience

-       Experience in leading a team

-      Worked in a similar role for a minimum of 2 years

With the support for key stakeholders within our business, you will thrive on the challenge of developing, modifying and implementing procedures, practices and process improvements.

You will work exceptionally well in a team and have the ability to influence. High levels of organisational skills coupled with the ability to analyse the information at hand, making the appropriate decisions quickly. Proven experience in a similar role is a must and you will be computer literate.
