About the role
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for the assessment and classification of receivals (predominately grain) by road and rail, the maintenance of quality recording systems during the storage period, and in collaboration with Technical Services and Operational staff, the outturn to domestic and export customers in accordance with the specified quality requirements. This supervisory role is also responsible for the terminal laboratory and sample stand staff.
This position reports to the Terminal Manager, with functional relationships to the Quality Services Manager - Ports.
Supervising a team of permanent staff and many casual staff during Harvest you will need to use your exceptional communication skills. This role requires a high level of autonomy and someone who can make decisions.
About you
The successful candidate will ideally have extensive experience in similar laboratory environment ideally grain related. A knowledge of plant control systems is advantage as well as a Cert III Laboratory skills or higher. Experience with imported/quarantine grain movements and fumigation is helpful but not essential.
