JCB CEA works with clients across a wide range of industries including construction, agriculture, civil works, government, defence, mining, waste and recycling.

JCB Construction Equipment Australia in WA is looking for a dynamic individual to join their team in Perth. This role is responsible for co-ordination of all aspects of the Service Department so as to meet quality, cost and service commitments to our customer base. The Service Manager will be able to work as a key member of the State Management team and communicate with our other State Service Managers to facilitate continuous improvement in processes and business opportunities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement strategies to grow the service department
  • Ensure the Service Level Agreements are met
  • Assist accounts department by resolving customer enquires or disputes arising from debt collection
  • Ensure compliance with service and other company procedures
  • Management of service personnel ensuring labour and resources are assigned efficiently
  • Identify training needs and schedule technical training in liaison with the National Technical Trainer
  • Responsible for financial performance of the service department
  • Customer liaison with top 20 service customers
  • Responsible for managing Work In Progress in line with Company policy
  • Report on sales revenue/gross profit aspects of the service department on a daily basis to the State Manager and the National After Sales Manager
  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of quotations for used equipment repairs
  • Field service visits to assess quality of work undertaken by field service technicians

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior experience in a position with high financial accountability
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate personnel
  • Proven ability to be able to effectively market Service and grow revenue levels
  • Strong Customer Service focus
  • Proven ability to manage labour efficiency and administration of the service area
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
