The Opportunity
We currently require an experienced professional to manage the freight and logistic requirements for the business. This is a 3 day per week (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday), permanent part-time job share role. With a broad mix of clientele producing an exciting range of products, this role is very dynamic and requires a high level of attention to detail. Working with our sales and production teams you will have responsibility and accountability in all stages of freight and logistics.
The Skills
- Minimum of 3 years experience in operations / logistics
- Bills of Lading
- Commercial Documents i.e. Certificate of Origins, LC's, Packing Decs
- Cartage co-ordination, Document pick-up and delivery to wharf and customs clearance
- Working with LCL, FCL (at least 2 - 4 years)
- 3PL, kitting and fulfilment experience (Local Marketplace)
- Experience dealing and negotiating with Chinese Suppliers
- Proven track record in high-value project management in a production environment
- Strong administrative and process skills (MS Office)
- A disciplined attitude and approach
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Ability to be organised and you must possess excellent attention to detail
- Unbeatable time management, reliable and accountable
- Results-driven mentality and an innate sense of integrity
