What is the Opportunity?

We are currently recruiting for a National Warehouse & Distribution Manager. This attractive opportunity is based at Pemulwuy and will be responsible for the day to day management of the National Distribution Center and the associated P&L. The role will see you take on Operational responsibility for implementing best practice and processes complementing the new ERP system and the development, coaching and performance management of the warehouse Team.

The position is a key company leadership role with strong career prospects and will suit a dynamic, driven leader with an ability to work close to his or her staff members. You will need to have experience leading a large dynamic business and be proven in the profitable running, developing and improvement of business operations, systems and processes of a substantial portfolio.

High level leadership, strategic planning, commercial, communication and relationship management capability are key for this attractive and challenging role. Your aptitude for financial analytics will also be of critical value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the management team in Australia and ensure Operation objectives are aligned to the Arjo 2020 vision
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership within Operations ensuring Arjo can improve performance and allow for growth.
  • Ensure adherence to and ISO accreditation ISO-9001 is maintained.
  • Develop SOP’s and work Instructions for all operational functions that are consistent across the consumable and capital portfolios.
  • Implement job descriptions for all operational staff ensuring accountability and understanding of roles/responsibilities.
  • Implement KPI’s for the Arjo Operations team and ensure KPI’s are being met on a monthly basis.
  • Work with Account Managers from 3rd party supplier ensuring DIFOT principles are followed and actioned.
  • Implement and maintain WM principle within the warehouse receipt and dispatch processes (ABC classification)
  • Establish reporting method to give visibility on Operational performance.
  • Use Lean methodology to minimise waste, improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Manage Operational expenses and budgets monthly.
  • Inventory Optimisation, Introduce SAP reports outlining inventory performance in State and National warehouse
  • Projects, Work with Sales Directors, Planning and Product Managers on NPI, S&OP and contract completion.
  • Execute periodic cycle counting ensuring SLOB is managed effectively
  • Ongoing management of the National Warehouse Facility

Personal Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in of inventory, planning and distribution experience, ideally in Medical equipment or manufacturing
  • Advanced Excel, Power Point and reporting capabilities required
  • Outstanding analytical thinker who can think on their feet. 
  • Customer/Client Centric
  • High level of interpersonal skills and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi task and work under pressure and meet strict time frames.
  • Proven ability to successfully lead, motivate and manage effective teams and drive best practice team cultures
  • Able to work across functional areas and levels of the organisation and to interact at distance
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • SAP system experience preferred
