This permanent position of Dispatch Assistant is available at our Somerville based manufacturing complex, just 5 minutes from Frankston, on the Mornington Peninsula.
About the Position
Our small and fast-moving Dispatch team requires an energetic Dispatch Assistant with experience and versatility to ensure products are packed safely, securely and on-time for daily/ weekly deliveries.
If you enjoy being on your feet and busy with variety in your day and have great attention to detail, then this role is for you.
Duties include -
- Ensure orders are packaged appropriately to arrive safely in perfect condition, including
- Maintaining dimensions and weights
- Labelling of contents and quantities
- Allocating stock products with Work Order numbers and the
- Ensuring all checklists are filled out completely and correctly
- Maintain effective working relations with internal and external contacts.
- Maintain sufficient Packaging Levels for workflow.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times to ensure the security and confidentiality of company information.
- Contribute to the quality of finished goods.
Hours Monday to Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm approximately

To be successful in this role, the following requirements are essential:-
- Dispatch experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment
- A safety-first mindset
- Physically fit to work in an environment where moderate to heavy lifting is required.
- Proficient numerical and computer skills
- Current forklift licence is desirable
- Attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills
