A leading Global Ground Handler within the Aviation sector (Melbourne Airport) who is currently experiencing a period of exciting growth, are seeking experienced forklift operators to assist in the expansion of their cargo division. This role will commence immediately and has view to perm role after the initial casual commencment of 4-6 months.  This opportunity will lead to a permanent position for the right candidate who displays commitment to the role, a willingness to learn and a desire to be part of the excellence that has resulted in the business growth.

This exciting opportunity will see you carrying out the following day to day operational tasks -

• High attention to detail while checking consignments in or out
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Reliability is essential in the Aviation sector
• RF scanning experience prefered by not essential
• Forklift operations in a fast paced environment
• Loading/unloading, manual handling tasks including build and break downs of palletised goods, pallet wrapping etc.

To be considered for this temp - perm position you will need to clearly demonstrate the following -

• Must be able to commit to a 24/7 rotational roster - Melbourne Airport never closes!!
• Current Forklift licence with minimum 12 months experience
• Current Australian drivers licence
• Able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and pre-employment drug & alchohol test
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out labouring tasks
