Our partner is one of the worlds largest freight Forwarders.
This role will see you assist and support the General Manager Projects to new and existing clients. You will be responsible for assisting clients in Queensland, Victoria on their Wind Turbine Projects, and other states as required. Your customer service is of high importance at all levels of operations - both internal & external.
Key Activities:
Assisting the General Manager Projects, with the following:
- Responding to requests of new and existing clients
- Retrieve rates from shipping lines, airlines and overseas offices
- Prepare quotations for clients, potential clients, overseas/interstate offices
- Formulate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for clients
- Import and export project forwarding
- Liaise with Customs and Operations Departments on project freight forwarding matters
- Tracking of shipments and providing status reports to clients and/or overseas offices
- Communicating all shipment delays and issues to clients and/or overseas offices
- Road surveys, as required
- Build working relationships with breakbulk carriers / heavy haulage companies etc
- Research upcoming project opportunities and identifying key stakeholders
- Attend project related conferences / exhibitions, as required
- Attend project cargo load outs / discharge and supervise delivery and heavy lifts
- Work where requested, as required - may include outside normal business hours and may also include travel nationally when requested and as required.
