Blu Logistics is a well-established milk transport business looking for professional operators who want to be a part of the coming season’s milk tanker driver teams based out of both Scottsdale and Devonport. With a commitment to high vehicle and driving standards, automatic trucks and well-maintained tankers, Blu Logistics is proud to again be bringing together a great local team of skilled professionals. And for those coming from interstate, this year there are a limited number of opportunities to access local accommodation on a first-come first-served basis.
The role involves tasks such as:
• Safely and courteously driving single and/or b-double trailer trucks. You will need a current Australian MC license
• Farm collection of milk and delivery for transfer at Scottsdale or direct to Spreyton Factory
• Following food handling & cleanliness processes to ensure milk quality is of the highest standard
• Cleaning your truck each shift
• Respecting and caring for property, customers and each other
• Taking ownership of the work you do and the contribution you make – this is really important because the Directors are looking for people who really want to be proud of their professionalism and high personal standards
Training is provided – all you'll need is evidence of:
• Current Australian MC B-double license and clean driving record
• Your ability to be self-directed and self-disciplined
• Good personal behaviours, including courtesy, hygiene and communication
• Performance to a highly professional standard in the past
• A positive, honest and cooperative attitude with a willingness to listen, learn and contribute
Note: Tanker experience is not essential but we’ll need to feel confident you’re a safe, reliable and respectful driver keen to learn and take pride in your work.
The 7 day rosters typically operate on a 3-3-3 basis, so the work is regular and the hours are consistent. Officially the season starts in August and lasts for around 6 months, but for the last 2 years it's extended to 9 months and drivers have been kept busy throughout.
