We have an opportunity for a Senior Quality Assurance Officer with operational experience to drive the Quality/Food Safety/Environmental Management System, and to support the Quality Manager at our Regents Park site.

Reporting into the Quality Manager – Regents Park, your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the QA Manager with the maintenance, implementation and compliance of the Quality/Food Safety/Environment Management System and with implementing continuous improvement ideas within the company;
• Support the management of Document Control system;
• Support the management of the Change Control system;
• Implement and manage the Training system, and train Operators, Assistants and Staff in current documentation;
• Participate in and assist with the internal audit programme;
• Investigate and document quality non-conformance events (NCRs);
• Reply to customers on non- conformance issues;
• Follow up corrective Actions;
• Assist the QA Manager with customer and certification audits;
• Action the calibration programme as required;
• Assist with the monthly and other regular reporting of Key Performance Indicators and trends;
• Liaise with QA Manager in producing and managing Colour Standards; and
• Process returned stock and liaise with Accounts and Sales for credit note approval.

  To be considered for this exciting opportunity you have excellent influencing skills and a strong personality and a genuine desire to find the root cause of any problem. You will be able to demonstrate;

• Experience in document control, change control and changing;
• Experience in QA or QC within a manufacturing environment;
• Qualification as an Internal Auditor Knowledge and ability to perform internal auditing;
• Knowledge and ability to resolve/categorise quality issues;
• Knowledge and experience within HACCP, ISO9001, 14001, PEFC and FSC;
• Must be analytical and have proven knowledge and use of Quality Management techniques including problem solving, continuous improvement and statistical analysis;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills able to work with people at all levels of ability, and from different cultures & backgrounds;
• Must be computer literate; and
• Able to work well under pressure, with proven efficiency and ability to plan work schedules and stick to deadlines.
