Brisbane Motorway Services, is a multi-award winning company providing professional operation and maintenance of Brisbane’s motorways and infrastructure. Brisbane Motorway Services is currently looking for Incident Response Crew members to join its team for an immediate start. This is your opportunity to join a friendly, positive and successful work environment.
The Incident Response Crew provide first response to incidents occurring on the CLEM7, and perform maintenance and inspection duties as required. The roles are fixed term, full time until October 2018.
In this role you will be required to:
- Contribute towards a culture of safety and health above all else
- Contribute to the delivery of projects on time and within budget
- Provide roadside assistance to disabled vehicles on motorways, including vehicle recovery
- Undertake recovery of debris from the toll road, provide first aid, firefighting and evacuee management
- Perform traffic control duties as required
- Conduct assigned maintenance and daily inspections/patrols
- Be able to work weekends and nights and additional shifts as required
- Ensure comprehensive records are established and maintained
- Ensure relevant stakeholders requirements are met by building and maintaining productive internal and external relationships
- Participate and contribute to an effective and productive team
To be successful in this position, you will be required to meet the following selection criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in contributing to workplace health and safety
- Emergency management skills, including command and control
- Experience in vehicle recovery
- Possess Certificate III Driving Operations
- Possess a current Queensland driver’s License class MR
- Applicants with Traffic Controllers Accreditation are desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer skills particularly in use of Microsoft word and excel
- Proven ability to deliver high quality work, achieve results by meeting KPIs and working in a team
Please note the Incident response crew positions are on a 24/7 rotating roster.
