An opportunity has become available for a Fleet Coordinator to join our friendly team in Nudgee, Brisbane. Reporting to the C&I On Road Supervisor, the Fleet Coordinator is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective and efficient routing processes, ensuring that customers are serviced by drivers and contractors in a timely and efficient manner.

As the Fleet Coordinator, you will ensure that tasks are completed to a professional standard, being flexible with your approach and responsive to the needs of both the customers and the company.

The role would ideally suit an individual looking to kick-start their career in a global organisation. You will have a positive and enthusiastic outlook and have a sound understanding of operating systems and scheduled routes.

Experience in the Waste Industry will be viewed favourably.

Your duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Developing internal client relationships to achieve best practice in customer service
  • Monitor and correct clients through the use of SWIFT
  • Review routing of different systems
  • Review invoices prior to approval
  • Ensure all safety forms are completed and submitted to EQ&S
  • Effectively communicate issues, requirements and information in a timely manner
  • Perform operational audits of collection routes based on performance
  • Maintain knowledge of all relevant Federal, State and Local Laws
  • Assist in updating labour spread sheets
  • Ensure drivers are debriefed daily and ensure all run sheets are completed fully

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Sound negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of the Waste Industry; operating requirements and limitations of Front Lift, Rear Lift and Roll Off equipment
  • Competent communication and decision making skills
  • Understanding of Chain of Responsibility Laws
  • Sound time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team
