The organisation
This organisation is a key member within the high voltage, infrastructure solutions and telecommunications space. As a market share owner they are environmentally aware and are developing innovative ideas to utilise more renewable energy sources.
The role
Strategic Relationship Manager position, reporting directly to the CPO and working alongside a strong procurement leadership team. This role will be instrumental in developing long lasting strategies that optimise business relationships and increase customer satisfaction. You will develop a rang of initiatives, establish SRM framework and put new processes in place. You will be able to confidently lead change and provide expert advice on key supplier matters. Your strong negotiation skills and ability to produce win win outcomes for your suppliers and the business will enable to you address challenging issues and non performance matters.
Key responsibilities
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Implement SRM framework
- Coordinate and lead supplier relationship meetings
- Establish supplier network and benchmarking across suppliers
- Risk identification and developing action plans
- Develop customer and stakeholder engagement plans
- Promote and support organisational objectives
- Identify and manage all contractual related issues
- Develop action plans to reduce risk
- Develop, implement and maintain effective performance standards and evaluation processes to assess and report on activity in terms of progress, results, customer satisfaction and value
- Ensure financial compliance (developing, implementing and operating budgets for management activities)
- Managing service level agreements
- Ensure commercial responsiveness and completeness
- Working with key stakeholders within finance, technology, procurement, contract management and project management
Experience required
- Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or similar
- Demonstrated experience senior strategic supplier management in a capital intensive industry
- Extensive Supplier Relationship Management, risk management and supplier performance management experience
- Member of a professional procurement body (e.g. MCIPS)
- Superior communication and excellent interpersonal skills
