Riverina Fresh Pty Ltd is an Australian independently owned dairy manufacturer with its head office based in Wagga Wagga, NSW. Renowned for producing the award winning and iconic Riverina Fresh brand of milk and a range of other fresh dairy products, the business is entering an exciting phase of development. They generate a large and diverse nature of fresh, short shelf-life products, including specialist milk for coffee baristas as well as wide range of engaged retail and food service customers.
The products create a challenge in efficiently scheduling, manufacturing, storing and dispatching products whilst servicing customer needs.
As a vital member of the team, the role of Production Manager will report to the Site Manager and will assume the critical role of leading and managing the milk and dairy products processing and packaging plants. You will ensure that products manufactured meet or exceed agreed health and safety requirements, align with customer specifications and the operation runs to budget and environmental targets.
Riverina Fresh is a mid-sized milk producer, scaled enough to be highly competitive but nimble enough to adjust production for short-run products. They strive for customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, employee safety and positive engagement and collaboration across the business.
You will manage the overall performance of the factory, managing over 30 staff with key responsibilities including:
- Staff leadership
- Production management and scheduling
- Continual improvement of plant efficiencies
- Co-ordination of incoming raw materials
- Assistance with the co-ordination of distribution
- Ensure food safety standards are met consistently
- WHS, Quality and Human Resource compliance
- Daily and weekly reporting, maintaining accurate records
- Collaboration with key stakeholders across the business
To be successful in this role it is essential you have a minimum of 5 years’ production management experience. You will ideally possess a fresh dairy production background with an understanding of production machinery and automated equipment. Applicants from outside fresh dairy will be considered. Your ability to lead teams and to multi-task and make sound decisions, at times with minimal notice, will be highly regarded.
