About Your Next Role
Due to their continued and expected growth, our client, (a respected and iconic market leader who specialise in high-quality recycled paper manufacturing) is now looking for a dynamic and engaged Production Operator to join their Chemical Recovery Production Unit (CRU). This role will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and monitoring of plant and equipment within the Mill including, digester, fibre line, re-causticing, lime kiln, chemical recovery island, power/steam system and utilities. You will also be expected to maximise efficiency and ensure the plant and equipment are operated within set standards and parameters, while also contributing to the ongoing development of standard operating procedures and work instructions. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, some of your key responsibilities will include the efficient operation of equipment such as; chemical recovery boiler, power boiler, turbine, steam distribution system.

What We Need from You
To be successful in this role, you will come from a Trade background with demonstrated mechanical and operations experience within a Chemical Recovery Manufacturing environment. You need to be a flexible and adaptable individual.
Other key factors that will see you succeed in this role: 

• Chemical Plant operations experience is essential
• Knowledge of Chemical Recovery and Power/Steam systems is essential
• Hands-on experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is essential
• Ability to participate in a shared 24/7 call-out schedule is essential
• Demonstrated ability to analyse & troubleshoot plant operations is essential
• Turbine and Power Boiler operations experience is important
• Ability to work with Computerised Control Systems is important
• Paper manufacturing industry experience is highly regarded
