The Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our busy Parts department, located in Acacia Ridge. You will be responsible for administering the purchasing of goods from local and international sources for the company.

This role will see you responsible for:

• Manage the procurement administration process for all international and domestic suppliers
• Generate, review and maintain purchase orders
• Investigate order discrepancies
• Review items that are under and over stock
• Ensure system setting reflect operational strategy
• Liaise with suppliers regarding price, quality and availability
• Follow up outstanding claims or credits with suppliers
• Actively follow up and maintain back orders
• Assist the Parts Interpreters to source products for customer special orders
• Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained

Skills and Attributes

• An understanding of the materials handling industry would be highly regarded
• Diploma qualifications in business
• Previous experience in a fast paced procurement officer role
• Exposure to complex product specification
• Knowledge of ERP systems
• Knowledge of material resource planning, re-order points and lead time management
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong eye for detail
• Solid communication skills

About You
You’re a highly motivated and organised person, with previous experience in a procurement role ideally from within the materials handling industry. You have a proven track record with a passion for driving change. You’re a team player but can also work autonomously when required.
