Are you a motivated and experienced Warehouse/Despatch person looking for your next opportunity?
Schots Home Emporium is a renovations and period architecture retailer offering a great range of the products including lighting, fireplaces & mantles, bathrooms, doors & door hardware, outdoor & interior furniture. Conveniently located in our new store opening in Moorabbin.
We have an exciting opportunity for motivated and conscientious, Full -Time Despatch/Inwards Goods Person. 5 days per week . Training will be conducted in our Clifton Hill despatch department for the first week of employment.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Prior experiance in an inwards goods department dealing with purchase orders, invoices & stock checking; as well as data entry
- Great people skills
- A willingness to learn
- PC literacy and accuracy
- A proven ability to interact with customers
- Time management & planning skills
- A team player
- A capacity for physical labour and heavy lifting as required
- A cheerful & mature attitude
- An LF forklift license is essential for this role
Your duties will include:
- Interaction with retail customers
- Involvement with all despatch functions and procedures
- Receiving & checking Inwards goods deliveries
- Receiving, picking, packing and despatching of products
- Inventory control procedures to ensure maximum cost efficiency
- Understanding of and ability to perform manual handling techniques in line with OH&S guidelines
- Despatch procedural improvements where necessary
- Housekeeping of despatch building & driveways
- Assisting in our retail store with duties and customer service as required
- Heavy lifting required
