K & S Freighters, a Truck Safe accredited Company have been providing transport, logistics and warehousing support to Australian Industry for more than 60 years.
We currently have a multiple positions available for experienced and professional Heavy Combination & Heavy Rigid Drivers with Truck CV Crane licence or at least proven competency to operate a truck mounted crane.
Day shift positions available in both Western & Eastern suburb sites.
You will be required to support other steel sites across Melbourne as required by the operational team, so role involves a variety of working environments. Your main duties will be transporting steel to and from our customer sites or as directed by the manager and also using truck mounted cranes on a regular basis.
To be successful for this position you must show competency in the follow requirements:
- Able to work from our Western Suburb depots and support multiple sites as required
- Be able to start at various time to support the operations team/s
- Have a valid HC or HR license as a minimum
- Good knowledge of Melbourne Metro and Regional areas
- Can show relevant experience in commercial driving
- Forklift license (with experience) an advantage but not essential to these positions.
- Crane knowledge and experience together with current CV license to operate over 10 t crane an advantage, but will consider applicants with proven crane competency that are happy to undergo further training.
- Experience working with steel preferred, but not mandatory as full training provided.
- Basic understanding of tie down methods when working with steel
- Full training provided to ensure compliance with steel industry requirements
- Able to pass a instant drug and alcohol assessment
