Day Shift Position – Minimum 38 hours per week
The position is based on the Northside of Brisbane in Brendale. The successful applicant will assist the Operations Manager in overseeing a busy factory. The position is a "hands-on role" and will require you to work with a diverse range of people and thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
The applicant must have previous leadership experience, ability to motivate staff, and enjoy being part of team.
Duties & Responsibilities
The applicant's duties involve carrying out the following;
- Supporting the Operations Manager's plan, manage and coordinate the daily production schedules efficiently
- Support the Operations Manager to motivate and lead a team of approximately 20-25 factory hands to achieve significant increases in productivity.
- Coordinate with management on plans, scheduling, ordering/stock control and maintenance.
- Ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and operational.
- Managing breakdowns
- Overseeing fabrication/assembly.
- Lead all staff to comply with all Northstate Woodwork Company's OH+S policies and procedures.
- Goods receivable/ dispatch.
- Maintain correct stock management procedures as set by company policies.
- A strong focus on Quality Control.
The successful candidate will ideally meet the following criteria;
- Physically and mentally fit for the day to day challenges and continual deadlines. You must be able to think on your feet and display a high level of integrity, honesty, reliability and confidentiality at all times.
- Preferably have mechanical aptitude but not a necessity.
- A demonstrated level of competency in the use of pneumatic hand tools would be an advantage.
- Must possess a current forklift ticket and a manual drivers licence.

Rate of pay - $70 000.00 - $75 000.00 per annum + KPI's after qualifying period.
The applicant will be subject to a 90 day probationary period on a 'Casual Basis'.
After this period, the applicant (if successful), will be appointed a the ongoing full time position.
