About the role:
WorkPac are currently seeking a highly experienced Branch Supervisor for an full time permanent position based within Emerald within the Mining/ Heavy Automotive Industry. This role will be Monday to Friday with an attractive salary and relocation assistance for the right applicant.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you be responsible for providing leadership of the workshop and field service technicians and directly managing the apprentices in the clients Emerald Truck Bay, ensuring the team remain highly engaged and motivated. As a hands on leader, you will spend most of your time on the shop floor, providing practical mentoring to apprentices and assisting on the tools when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Prioritise safety in all aspects of the workshop

Be a technical expert and advisor to the team

Have key decision making skills throughout the repair process
- Provide leadership and support to apprentices and technicians
- Carry out hands-on mechanical work as require
- Ensure the on-time completion of scheduled work
- Manage the repair strategy and the coordination of parts support
- Participate in on call rosters
Skills and Experience:
-
Have previous supervisory / management experience
- Have a strong technical background and ability to share your knowledge easily, mentoring and developing our apprentices
- Have had some Cummins engine experience, ideally having worked on ISX15’s
- Be motivated towards developing a strong, results focused team
- Strong PC skills
- Have worked in an environment where a code of conduct is embedded
- Put safety first , every task every day
- A current, valid driver’s license (HR preferable)
