As a one of the key suppliers of the NorthLink project, our client has built their reputation in the provision of high quality precast and prestressed concrete products to a variety of clients across the civil construction and marine construction industries.  Along with the NorthLink project they have also played a key role in the provision of products to the new Perth Stadium, Fiona Stanley Hospital and the new state of the art 5 storey building located within one of WA’s most recognised Universities.

 

As the Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for the movement of precast products form the production facility out to the client’s projects.  You will lead a team of 4 personnel in the division and will also be required to oversee and manage the organisation of transport for the site.  Your duties and responsibilities will include and are not limited to the following:

  • Organisation of oversized and over dimensional loads for collection within the Perth metropolitan and some regional locations
  • Liaising with construction sites and transport companies in relation to load and transportation requirements
  • Overseeing the organisation and controlling of the storage yard and material handling operatives
  • Oversee the safe work practices for the loading and restraints for movements in accordance to company and state legislation
  • Oversee the organisation of goods inwards
  • Liaising with internal divisions for the raising of associated invoices and associated documentation
  • Assist with the day-to-day administrative requirements of the division.

 

To ensure your success in this position you will be required to have demonstrated experience in the following fields:

  • Previous experience in the co-ordination to oversized and over dimensional freight movements
  • Previous experience within a precast environment, particularly the movement of tilt panels is highly desired and advantageous
  • Supervision and leadership of a team of 6 or more personnel
  • Implementation and ongoing drives for continuous improvement strategies
  • Management of client invoicing and movement expenditure
  • Knowledge and understanding of Chain of Responsibility legislation
  • Ability to efficiently operate internal CMS and invoicing systems

 

Our client will also require the successful applicant to hold a current white card and will be required to pass a full medical including a drug and alcohol screening
