This Australian-owned business specialise in custom automotive equipment and are seeking an experienced General Hand/Trades Assistant to join their team. This person will have strong assembly and hand and power tool knowledge and will be rewarded with an ongoing opportunity with a well-established organisation.
The successful person will initially join the team as an on-hired employee, working 7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday. The opportunity exists for the right person to move into a permanent role after the successful completion of a 3-month probationary period.
Duties for this role include:
- Assembly of mini bus or van components (shelving, windows etc)
- Use of hand and power tools - saws, hammers, drills etc
- Read from drawings and plans
The right person for this role will have:
- Previous manufacturing and assembly experience (within the caravan industry would be an advantage)
- Excellent communication skills
- An ability to work well unsupervised
This role offers an immediate start and great pay rate dependant on experience. The ideal candidate will have a hard-working attitude and show commitment and reliability.
