Manpower are currently seeking goal oriented, experienced team leaders who are familiar with the warehousing and logistics industry. Our client currently have an exciting role available within their large distribution centre in Jandakot for an experienced team leader who’s main responsibility will be to lead and encourage a team of 3 - 5 employees.
Ideally you will be looking long term employment within a supportive company were the team camaraderie is strong and everyone is working towards the same goals, deadlines and challenging targets.
Shifts can start as early as 5am. The distribution center is open 7 days a week typically 5 out of 7 days are rostered Ultimately you will be unrestricted with your availability and have the ability to commit to shifts at short notice.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage the sections resources effectively, and monitor staff training, development and performance.
- Encourage, train, motivate and develop the section staff to reach their full potential.
- Assist with the induction and training of new staff and further development and training of existing staff.
- Maintain a vigilant approach to internal and external theft prevention.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Undertake stocktaking duties, as directed by the logistics manager.
- Receive goods in as per the goods - in procedures and quality assurance policies.
- Ensure accuracy when picking store orders.
- Direct and assist with the loading and/or unloading of delivery vehicles.
- Ensure all controls, policies, procedures and guidelines are followed.
To be considered successful for this role you will possess the following;
- Previous pick packing/order picking experience
- Ability to work to KPI's & pick rates
- Drivers License and Car are necessary
- You will have unlimited working rights
- Ability to successfully pass a drug and alcohol test
- Physically fit and able to pass a medical test
- Ability to comfortably lift up to 25kg on a repetitive basis
