We are currently looking for a Quality & Compliance Manager to work at Regis WA. As a Quality and Compliance Manager you will be responsible for providing support across designated sites to ensure effective quality systems are maintained and monitored for compliance against Regis Polices and Processes, governing legislation and regulations as applicable to the Aged Care Accreditation standards and Home Care Common Standards as applicable.

 

Your role will involve:

  • Providing support to sites and their management teams to achieve compliance and expected results of Regis Quality processes and practices
  • Review resident information both clinical and business in line with policy and process and any underpinning legislative requirement
  • Ensuring quality documentation systems are complied with and that processes are followed by all stakeholders when improvements are implemented or required
  • Assist in the preparation of sites for external regulator reviews relevant to Aged Care and support the management of the site to communicate any improvement activities that may be required
  • Audit and contribute to achievement of compliance with the company serious risk / high risk regulatory compliance processes
  • Ensure consistent compliance with Regis system for complaints management
  • Assist in the identification, response and analysis of serious incidents, including mandatory reporting requirements; coroners information gathering and preparation of resolution reports
  • Ensure that the Gap Analysis Program is maintained and that reports are provided
  • Liaise clearly, calmly and effectively to site teams in the conduct of work ensuring that any issues identified are communicated to your Senior Manager when risk or serious risk is identified.
  • Audit and contribute to achievement of compliance with the company Quality System
  • Assist and support the preparation of documents for site audits and announced contacts by AACQA
  • Attend site audits/announced visits if possible and provide support to unannounced contact with external regulators

 

About you

  • Extensive experience as a Registered Nurse with at least 5 years management experience or similar role in Aged Care or similar discipline
  • Working knowledge and role modelling of the nursing scope of practice and the code of conduct for nurses
  • Promotes a customer service care recipient focused approach by all staff
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of the use of computerised care management systems and the suite of Microsoft programs
  • Solid understanding of the application of the legislation governing Aged Care Operations.
  • Lead auditor qualifications or Quality Aged Care Assessor qualifications
  • High level of computer literacy
  • High level of problem solving and analytical writing skills
