The opportunity?

As part of Toll Group’s new growth strategy we have a great opportunity for a National compliance Manager to join our Express Parcels team located in Tullamarine. Reporting to the National Compliance Manager, you will be required to collate and analyse data and provide accurate, relevant and meaningful information, reports and action plans in a timely manner and as required.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assisting in developing and implementing the necessary framework to allow and support the business in managing policies, procedures and systems to ensure compliance
  • Administering, monitoring, measuring, auditing and reporting on compliance with respect to our road transport obligations as stipulated in the heavy vehicle national law (HVNL), dangerous goods and workplace health and safety legislation - including Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and sub-contractor management - and close the feedback loop with timely escalations, as required
  • Monitoring and reviewing the incidents/infringements entered into the incident management system (IMS) on a daily basis for accuracy, completeness and compliance and liaise with the operational teams to ensure investigations and corrective actions are appropriate and timely
  • Actively participate with the investigation of compliance related incidents and motor vehicle accidents as required
  • Providing accurate, relevant and meaningful information and reports in a timely and efficient manner
  • Extracting, collating and analysing operational and safety data from a variety of computer based and manual systems

The ideal candidate?

The successful candidate you will be tertiary qualified and have industry experience working in a logistics or FMCG environment in a large scale and diverse organisation. They will have a sound understanding of the Australia road transport regulatory framework along with demonstrated experience of CoR and Dangerous Goods compliance. They will also have sound experience with Microsoft Office, Sharepoint and Power BI coupled with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
