The applicant must also have previous experience in working with structural steel, CNC Drill line operation, reading technical drawings and operating an overhead crane. 

Major Duties:

• Operating Daito Drill/Saw/Coping Robot
• Following operating and maintenance procedures
• Learning how to program in some instances
• Helping to troubleshoot machines and minimize downtime
• Performs quality checks using proper measuring devices during and upon completion.
• Must have intermediate computer skills and be able to read technical drawings.

Qualifications:

To be hired as a CNC Machine Operator, prospects:

• Should have prior experience with CNC Equipment Operating
• Should have knowledge of how to perform maintenance on CNC Machines
• Should have a general understanding of the mechanics of CNC equipment
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Must be a fast-learner
• Must have basic to intermediate computer skills
• Should be knowledgeable of steel’s different shapes, sizes and grades

Performance Standards:

• Quality of work from the CNC machines and robotic cells.
• Adheres to the production schedule.
• Productivity. Achieves set standards on efficiency and cycle times.
• Completion of accurate records.
• Attendance.
• Neatness of the work centre.
• Cooperation, responsiveness, dependability, and positive attitude in dealing with others.
• Conformance to company personnel, safety, quality and housekeeping policies, procedures and practices.
• All other duties as assigned.
