An opportunity currently exists for a Site Manager based at Mile End on a permanent full time basis. This role will be responsible for effectively managing the manufacturing site including: production, maintenance, logistics, quality control, company policies and standards and purchasing. The position requires excellent budget control along with innovation and improvement drawn from industry knowledge and business plans.
Key accountabilities include:
- Maintenance and improvement of production standards
- Instil and maintain a culture of continuous improvement to ensure improved site production efficiencies
- Achieve reduction in waste
- Manage activities within the legislative and ethical standards consistent with Allied Pinnacle’s corporate and community identity.
- Adherence to Pinnacle’s policies at all times.
- Make or actively seek out recommendations resulting in site production improvements
- Ensure the site achieves the highest standard of hygiene at all times
- Conduct safety walks, talks, internal audits, and training
- Aim for a Site safety index of zero.
- Assist in EBA negotiations
- Assist and participate in recruitment activities
- Develop and maintain an environment of perfect stock control
- Ensure accurate on time reporting
- Compliance with all relevant processes
- Collaboration with relevant centralised and functions other manufacturing sites for best practice production
The successful applicant will possess:
- Tertiary qualification (preferable engineering related)
- City and Guilds Milling Certificate
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in FMCG/Milling Industry
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience in production supervisor/manager or equivalent role
- Sound industry knowledge.
- A proven team player
- Sound computing skills with knowledge of spread sheeting and report writing.
- Superior analytical and conceptual skills
