About the role.
Due to an increase in production requirements an exciting opportunity exists to join our Melbourne team as a Signwriter / Graphics Technician in the Altona North office. As a Signwriter / Graphics Technician, you will be responsible for manufacturing a wide variety of items. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, your diverse range of duties will include:
- preparing customer files for cutting on our wide format plotters;
- layout, preparation and application of self-adhesive vinyl graphics & digital prints;
- fitout of signage in-house; and
- completion of jobs with both accuracy and quality in mind while committing to short deadlines.
About you.
In order to achieve success in this role, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Signwriter / Graphics Technician who encompasses the following skills and capabilities:
- understanding of substrates, materials and vinyl properties;
- ability to work in a high volume signage rollout environment;
- high attention to detail;
- ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team;
- ability to work under pressure;
- be a self-starter; and
- have a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
The following attributes are not a pre-requisite for the role but would be highly desirable:
- experience with Adobe Illustrator;
- previous experience within the manufacturing industry;
- previous experience in applying vinyl graphics & digital prints; and
- previous experience fabricating signage.
With a minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, you will add value in this multi-faceted role through your positive and passionate nature, ensuring an innovative approach in all your efforts.
