About the role:

Aurizon’s Bulk Operations is looking for a number of qualified Locomotive drivers on a permanent AND/OR casual basis to join their team and work out of the Gladstone region. We are seeking applications from committed and team orientated individuals to undertake the following responsibilities:

• Operation of locomotives including line haul, shunting and marshalling
• Examine and certify trains as ready for departure
• Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures
• Provide quality customer service
• Contribute to ongoing performance improvement
• Apply 'best practice' train management techniques to ensure efficient and safe train operations
• Work in driver-only capacity on the mainline

About you: 

• Certificate in Locomotive Driving or equivalent (Mandatory)
• Hold a valid 'C' class driver's license (Mandatory)
• Ability to work a 24/7 roster
• Current route qualification advantageous
• Current QLD safe-working qualifications
• Ability to meet CAT 1 Rail Medical Assessment and other pre - offer checks
