About the role:
Aurizon’s Bulk Operations is looking for a number of qualified Locomotive drivers on a permanent AND/OR casual basis to join their team and work out of the Gladstone region. We are seeking applications from committed and team orientated individuals to undertake the following responsibilities:
- Operation of locomotives including line haul, shunting and marshalling
- Examine and certify trains as ready for departure
- Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures
- Provide quality customer service
- Contribute to ongoing performance improvement
- Apply 'best practice' train management techniques to ensure efficient and safe train operations
- Work in driver-only capacity on the mainline
About you:
- Certificate in Locomotive Driving or equivalent (Mandatory)
- Hold a valid 'C' class driver's license (Mandatory)
- Ability to work a 24/7 roster
- Current route qualification advantageous
- Current QLD safe-working qualifications
- Ability to meet CAT 1 Rail Medical Assessment and other pre - offer checks
