ASG have a great opportunity for experienced and talented Team Leader to join ‘The Group’ with expertise in both light and heavy metal work. 

ABOUT YOU

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the successful Team Leader will be responsible for leading our Metal specialised department, focusing on the manufacture of our unique signage products, in line with production schedule expectations.

Coupled with your effective leadership and communication skills to develop and foster relationships with all internal stakeholders, you will possess high attention to methodology and detail with a relentless focus on supplying a world class quality product at all times. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Being trade qualified, the Team Leader in the Metal department will lead a large team of welders and sheet metal workers to ensure the workflow through the department is of high quality and produced within budget restraints and allocated time slots. The successful person will be competent in aluminium welding and fabrication and able to read, interpret and troubleshoot intricate drawings and designs.  Your personal qualities will encompass strong leadership, relationship building and influencing skills.

Daily the position will involve:

• Motivate, delegate and lead by example.
• Co-ordinating with other departments to ensure job flow.
• Input on area layout and production methods to maximize productivity and department efficiency.
• Outstanding time management and the ability to work under pressure, within an ever-changing environment.
• Managing staff attendance, performance and time keeping.
• Conducting and recording Team Tool Box meetings.
• The ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels of the business.
• Adhere to the companies Quality & Assurance procedure at all times.                                   
• Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of the area.
• Manage materials as required through the Store.
• Manage safety expectations.

The position will require hands on management and close liaison with all departments associated with the business to ensure a seamless transfer from design manufacture through to installation is achieved to the highest standards.
