We are recruiting for a customer focused and career driven Transport Supervisor who is genuinely looking to roll their sleeves up and be a part of a growing business that will in return offer career support and progression.
This is a hands on role and will require an individual with integrity and a proven track record in team and operations management.
You will be working within our express division in charge of managing the daily operations in one of our busy country depots.
Key responsibilities but not limited to:
- Ensure all delivery frames are met in all delivery areas
- Ensure all overnight operations are completed so all sorted freight is correctly allocated
- Ensure all drivers are correctly scanning appropriate freight to allocated run
- Liaise with other depots and states in investigating any issues regarding collection or deliveries
- Carry out weekly operational and WHS tool box meetings in conjunction with drivers and staff
- Manage a team of 15 staff members on site ensuring all procedures and deadlines are being met
- Ensure all incidents and near misses are reported and investigated
- Supervise all daily activities involving transport, ensuing all deliveries are completed
The Ideal Candidate?
- Transport and logistics experience essential
- Experience dispatching and receiving freight
- Experience in leading and motivating teams
- Excellent customer service skills
- WHS site experience (with examples of improvements)
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- A can do attitude with excellent people skills
- Proven track rec ord in driving Change Management
- MR and Forklift license advantageous but not essential
