We are currently seeking an experienced supervisor to join our organics facility as a Team Leader based in Bulla (30km north west of CBD). The North-West Organics facility is a purpose built site that handles a 15 year local government contract. This facility receives kerbside collected green waste; council transfer stations green waste and other organics including seaweed and food waste from participating councils in the North and West of Melbourne.

Reporting to the Site Manager, your main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

·         Supervise operations and staff within your area of responsibility

·         Ensuring performance expectations are met

·         Lead toolbox discussions

·         Safely operating Front End Loader and Excavator

·         Sorting resource materials from designated areas

·         Carry out general labour and maintenance activities

·         Actively promote, manage and report on safety, environment and quality matters

·         Inducting new staff

Strong communication skills are a must as is a high commitment to team work and safety. You'll enjoy owning your role and taking full responsibility for your highly autonomous duties.  Candidates must have a valid Loader and Excavator ticket as well as previous experience operating equipment.

Employees may be required to work some overtime and work on weekends. This is a permanent full time role and on the job training will be provided.
