Our client, based in Moorebank requires a Procurement Specialist on a temporary basis. The successful applicant will have the proven ability to review and improve existing processes and procedures and the understanding of principles, methods and procedures of purchasing practices. You will have great planning and organising skills as well as strong attention to detail.

On a typical day your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Provision of multiple pricing to Asset Acquisition requests

• Cost savings through competitive quoting

• Facilitate all purchases of Asset Acquisitions according to agreed terms and pricing conditions

• Source appropriate suppliers from the Preferred and Approved suppliers list to ensure purchases are cost effective and in alignment with purchasing policy and procedures

• Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation

• Coordinate and resolve issues raised by suppliers/ branches

• Proactively work with Accounts Payable and other stakeholders to expedite purchase orders to ensure delivery requirements are met

To be considered you will have the following:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Relevant Fleet / inventory control system knowledge

• Purchasing system knowledge

• Proven ability to review and improve existing processes and procedures

• Knowledge of administrative principles and practice

• Proven ability to multi task

• Understanding of principles, methods and procedures of purchasing practices

• Working knowledge of inventory systems
